【摘要】:ThistestmethodwasdevelopedforusebothbymanufacturersasaprocesscontroltoolfortheproductionofAZSfusion-castrefractories,andbyglassmanufacturersintheselectionofrefractoriesanddesignofglass-meltingfurnaces.TheresultsmaybeconsideredasrepresentativeofthepotentialforanAZSrefractory(specifically,inthetestedregion)tocontributetoglassdefectformationduringthefurnaceproductionoperation.Theproceduresandresultsmaybeappliedtootherrefractorytypesorapplications(thatis,reheatfurnaceskidrailbrick)inwhichglassexudationisconsideredtobeimportant.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureforcausingtheexudationofaglassyphasetothesurfaceoffusion-castspecimensbysubjectingthemtotemperaturescorrespondingtoglassfurnaceoperatingtemperatures.1.2Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureformeasuringtheexudateasthepercentofvolumeincreaseofthespecimenaftercooling.1.3Units8212;Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3.1Exception8212;ThebalancerequiredforthistestmethodusesonlySIunits(Section6).1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
