【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesstandardizedproceduresforobtainingandtestingspecimenstodeterminethecompressive,splittingtensile,andflexuralstrengthofin-placeconcrete.Generally,testspecimensareobtainedwhendoubtexistsaboutthein-placeconcretequalitydueeithertolowstrengthtestresultsduringconstructionorsignsofdistressinthestructure.Anotheruseofthismethodistoprovidestrengthinformationonolderstructures.Concretestrengthisaffectedbythelocationoftheconcreteinastructuralelement,withtheconcreteatthebottomtendingtobestrongerthantheconcreteatthetop.Corestrengthisalsoaffectedbycoreorientationrelativetothehorizontalplaneoftheconcreteasplaced,withstrengthtendingtobelowerwhenmeasuredparalleltothehorizontalplane.Thesefactorsshallbeconsideredinplanningthelocationsforobtainingconcretesamplesandincomparingstrengthtestresults.Thestrengthofconcretemeasuredbytestsofcoresisaffectedbytheamountanddistributionofmoistureinthespecimenatthetimeoftest.Thereisnostandardproceduretoconditionaspecimenthatwillensurethat,atthetimeoftest,itwillbeintheidenticalmoistureconditionasconcreteinthestructure.Themoistureconditioningproceduresinthistestmethodareintendedtoprovidereproduciblemoistureconditionsthatminimizewithin-laboratoryandbetween-laboratoryvariationsandtoreducetheeffectsofmoistureintroducedduringspecimenpreparation.Thereisnouniversalrelationshipbetweenthecompressivestrengthofacoreandthecorrespondingcompressivestrengthofstandard-curedmoldedcylinders.Therelationshipisaffectedbymanyfactorssuchasthestrengthleveloftheconcrete,thein-placetemperatureandmoisturehistory,andthestrengthgaincharacteristicsoftheconcrete.Historically,ithasbeenassumedthatcorestrengthsaregenerally85%ofthecorrespondingstandard-curedcylinderstrengths,butthisisnotapplicabletoallsituations.Theacceptancecriteriaforcorestrengtharetobeestablishedbythespecifierofthetests.ACI318providescorestrengthacceptancecriteriafornewconstruction.1.1Thistestmethodcoversobtaining,preparing,andtestingcoresdrilledfromconcreteforlengthorcompressivestrengthorsplittingtensilestrengthdeterminations.Note18212;AppendixX1providesrecommendationsforobtainingandtestingsawedbeamsforflexuralperformance.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnotesthatprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
