【摘要】:Thistestmethodgivesastandardprocedurefordeterminingstructuralperformanceunderuniformstaticairpressuredifference.Thistypicallyisintendedtorepresenttheeffectsofwindloadsonexteriorbuildingsurfaceelements.Theactualloadingonbuildingsurfacesisquitecomplex,varyingwithwinddirection,time,heightaboveground,buildingshape,terrain,surroundingstructures,andotherfactors.Thesefactorsarediscussedintheliteraturein2.1and2.2andFootnotes4and5.Note18212;Inapplyingtheresultsoftestsbythistestmethod,itshouldbeborneinmindthattheperformanceofacladdingsystemmaybeafunctionoffabrication,installation,andadjustment,andthatthespecimenmayormaynottrulyrepresenttheactualstructure.Inservice,theperformancewillalsodependontherigidityofsupportingconstructionandontheresistanceofcomponentstodeteriorationbyvariouscauses,tovibration,tothermalexpansionandcontraction,etc.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthestructuralperformanceofdimensionstonecladdingsystemsunderpositiveandnegativeuniformstaticairpressuredifferences,usingatestchamber.1.2Theproperuseofthistestmethodrequiresaknowledgeoftheprinciplesofpressureanddeflectionmeasurement.1.3Thistestmethoddescribestheapparatusandtheproceduretobeusedforapplyingeitherspecifictestloadsorunknownultimatevaluesofuniformitydistributedtestloadstoaspecimen.1.3.1ProcedureA(see11.2)shallbeusedwhendeflectionsatmaximumloadonlyarerequired.1.3.2ProcedureB(see11.3)shallbeusedwhenaload-deflectioncurveisrequired.1.4Units8212;ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection7.
